Joseph A. Audette graduated from Western New England University in 1984 with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and shortly thereafter began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Danaher Tool Group in Springfield, MA.  One of his first tasks was to develop time studies for tooling manufacturing operations using the Univation® computerized micro motion time study technique.  Joe's responsibilities quickly expanded to "Advanced Manufacturing Processes Engineer" which included development of all automation at the 250 person ($150 million) plant.  During his time at Danaher, he was able to become an expert in 2D CAD (Autocad) drafting, Rockwell/Siemens PLC  programming (IEC-61131), CNC Programming (EIA RS-274), Basic, and Object-oriented Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) basics - becoming very familiar with metals manufacturing.  He learned the basics of automation for chemical processes (plating and black oxiding), and became proficient in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing techniques, and ISO 9001.

In 2002, Joe found himself at Hardigg Industries (now Pelican Products) at which point his previous experience was honed for the plastics manufacturing industry, specifically plastic rotomolding and plastic injection molding.  He was introduced to the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and eventually became leader of the group maintaining bills of materials, routings, and item masters.  To support the ISO 9000 system, he was introduced to basic website programming.  He also led the fixture machine shop and the case testing lab.  To support the development of new fixtures, he acquired skills using SolidEdge CAD modeling.  While employed at Hardigg Industries, Joe also earned a Certificate in Renewable Energy from Greenfield Technical Community College.

In 2010, Joe began work at EBTech, a division of Edac - a laser and electron beam machining firm in Agawam, MA.  EBTech is a job shop oriented firm which manufactures for the energy, aerospace, and medical industries.  Here, he learned techniques for rapid fire development of work instruction packages, complete with programming from customer drawings.  During his time at EBTech, he also expanded his knowledge of ERP systems by learning both Infor's(Syteline) and Macola.  Skills acquired included working with Mastercam and Solidworks, programming and machining with lasers, working with exotic metals, and aerospace inspection standards.
